Online card service

Bookings are possible at any time in the seating plan of our online shop. You can receive your tickets either by post (for a processing fee of €2.50), at the theatre box office, via TicketDirect (home ticket printout) or as a QR code on your mobile device. For online bookings, a fee of €2 per ticket applies (except for tickets bought with a Staatsopern Card or TanzTicket concessions card).

Further informations when buying tickets

The cloakroom and ticket fees are included in the entrance fee. Purchased tickets cannot be returned. We reserve the right to make changes, in particular to the cast and the starting time of the performance. For selected performances, sales may be limited to a maximum of two tickets per registered customer. There is no right to admission after the start of the performance.

Black market

Some internet platforms are advertising tickets for events at the Staatsoper Unter den Linden. In fact, these are private sellers, who partly offer tickets from dubious sources and for highly inflated prices. We recommend that you purchase tickets only from official ticket shops, online at www.staatsoper-berlin.de, or on official online platforms of external promoters to which you will be forwarded to from our website, www.staatsoper-berlin.de.

Please understand that free accompanying tickets for holders of a severely disabled person's pass as well as wheelchair spaces can only be booked directly through the box office.

Concessionary tickets are only valid in conjunction with a photo ID card that proves eligibility. If such an ID cannot be presented at the entrance, the difference between the reduced and the original price must be paid. No reductions are granted for performances in the F, G and H price categories, nor those at special prices.

Under 30

Schoolchildren, students and trainees, volunteers on a social or ecological year, and those doing volunteer military service under 30 years of age are entitled to a reduction of 50 % on presentation of proof of eligibility, subject to availability, starting four weeks before the performance.
The ClassicCard is a joint offer of Staatsoper Unter den Linden, Staatsballett Berlin, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Komische Oper Berlin, Konzerthaus Berlin, Berliner Philharmoniker und Rundfunk Orchester und Chöre GmbH. Members receive significantly discounted tickets for performances. For more information visit www.classiccard.de.

Under 18s

Visitors under 18 years of age are entitled to a 50 % discount in all price groups without any time restrictions.

Last minute

Approximately 30 minutes before a performance begins, remaining tickets will be given to concession holders for €15.

3 €–Tickets

Holders of the Berechtigungsnachweis (“BN”) or a “Berlin-Ticket S” may buy tickets for €3 at the box office from 30 minutes before the start of the performance (limited seats available). In addition, recipients of Arbeitslosengeld I or Bürgergeld are entitled to a 50% discount from four weeks before the performance upon presentation of an appropriate proof of eligibility, subject to availability.

People with disabilities

On presentation of an ID with the symbol “B”, people with disabilities are entitled to a free ticket for an accompanying person in all price categories.

Welcome card

Welcome Card holders are eligible to a 25% discount at the box office. 25 % on 1 ticket (€ 8-130) for Adults, 50 % for children, valid for A-E prices, subject to availability. Tickets are available at the box office and max. 3 days in advance.

Family performances

Young visitors under the age of 18 pay 10 € for all seats; parents pay the original price. This offer is limited. Please bear in mind that your children may have questions about certain scenes and content, depending on their age. The Junge Staatsoper offers support by providing information and age recommendations for Staatsoper productions.
