Born in Lódz in Poland, Anna Siminska started her singing studies at the Frédéric Chopin Musikakademie in Warsaw with Jolanta Janucik, and took following courses at the Kunstuniversität Graz with Joanna Borowska and Gottfried Hornik. She attended master classes with Ryszard Karczykowski, Helena Lazarska and Teresa Zylis-Gara.

Among her first stage performances are Clarice in Haydn’s »Il mondo della luna«, Pamina and Königin der Nacht in »Die Zauberflöte« (Warsaw).

Anna Siminska made her international debut performing Adele in »Die Fledermaus« (Schlosstheater Schönbrunn, Wien). Thereupon she sang there Käthe in Ziehrer’s »Drei Wünsche« (recorded and edited by CPO).

At the Salzburger Festspiele (2009) she took part in the Young Singers Project, including the final concert in the Mozarteum, and also sang Nelly in Zeller’s »Der Obersteiger« (Schlosstheater Schönbrunn) and Flaminia in »Il mondo della luna« at the Brucknerfest Linz.

At the Festival Aix-en-Provence and Osterfestspielen Salzburg (2010) Anna Siminska appeared as Woglinde in »Götterdämmerung« with The Berliner Philharmoniker.

Highlights of the season 2009/10 were both Königin der Nacht in »Die Zauberflöte« and Adele in »Die Fledermaus« (Wiener Staatsoper), and Amina in »La Sonnambula« (Graz), among others.

During the 2010/11 season she appeared as Clorinde in Rossini’s »La Cenerentola« (Glyndebourne Festival, on tour), Taumännchen/Echo in E.Humperdinck`s »Hänsel und Gretel« (ROH Covent Garden London), Königin der Nacht in »Die Zauberflöte« (Semperoper Dresden), and Giulietta in »I Capuleti e i Montecchi« (Graz).

In the 2011/12 season, she sang Sandrina in »La finta giardiniera« (Bonn), Königin der Nacht in »Die Zauberflöte« (Staatsoper Berlin, Dresden, Frankfurt), and Ilia in »Idomeneo« (Komische Oper Berlin).

Recent and upcoming engagements include Königin der Nacht in »Die Zauberflöte« (State Opera Berlin, Komische Oper Berlin, Vienna State Opera – on tour in Japan, and Dresden), Bach’s Mass in B minor (North Netherlands Orchestra), Gilda in »Rigoletto« (Limoges, Chaliapin Festival in Kazan, Russia and the Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theatre in Vilnius), and the title part in »The Nightingale« (Warsaw).

Anna Siminska will return to the ROH Covent Garden London as Königin der Nacht in »Die Zauberflöte« and she will make her American debut at Washington National Opera performing the same role.
